McMiller COVID-19 Protocols & Guidelines

McMiller Sports Center will officially re-open to the public for outdoor shooting this Thursday, May 14th, at 9:00 am! We will be open for clay target, rifle, and pistol shooting. Our hours going forward until further notice will be Wednesday-Sunday 9:00 am- 5:00 pm. Due to the ongoing pandemic, we are instituting several precautionary policies to ensure a safe environment for our staff and guests.

Prior to coming out, please read the full list of protocols that we must adhere to. These changes were necessary to attain the go-ahead from the DNR to reopen. The protocols are as follows:

  1. While at McMiller Sports Center (MSC), all customers and employees will need to maintain a social distance of 6 feet between them and anyone that is not a member of their household. This includes the parking lot, the ranges, and all MSC property.

  2. No spectators will be allowed on the rifle or pistol ranges.

  3. Groups for clay shooting will be limited to 5 people. Please social distance throughout the course and do not encroach on other groups.

  4. Customers will not be allowed in the clubhouse. Check-In will be at the clubhouse entrance and social distancing markers will be put down to remind people to distance while waiting in line. Employees will have access to clubhouse inventory so you will be able to purchase targets, beverages, ammunition, and other needed items when you check in.

  5. We will have hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes available on each range for customer and employee use. We will be sanitizing touch points throughout the day. There will be outdoor hand washing stations for you to use before you leave the premises and we strongly recommend that you use them.

  6. While you are welcome to use our products, we recommend that you bring your own gloves, mask, disinfectant, and whatever else you deem necessary to protect yourself, your family, and your guests while at MSC. Additionally, we will not be able to provide staple guns because of sanitary issues. Please bring your own. A regular home stapler will suffice. If you do not have a stapler, we can accommodate you.

Its time to go shooting and do so in a way that keeps everyone healthy. We are excited to re-open and want to thank everyone for their patience and anticipated cooperation during this transition back to normal operating procedure. It’s important that our customers adhere to the new guidelines we’ve negotiated with the DNR to enable the range to remain open. You are participating in an outdoor activity at your own risk during the Covid-19 Pandemic. We look forward to seeing you at the range!
