McMiller’s Summer Youth Camp is designed for boys and girls ages 8 -18 to learn the basics of firearms handling including, rifles, pistols, and shotguns; sighting-in; and archery.  The camp has limited availability to ensure each youth camper receives safe, one-on-one training to deliver the best experience possible.

Camp Activities 

5 Days of Shooting Sports - Hunter Education - Wilderness Survival - Navigational Compass - Rock Climbing 

Shooting Sports Offered: Sporting Clays, Novice Trap, Pistol, 25-100 Yard Rifle, .22 Plinking Range, and 3D Archery

Navigation / Compass Course: Youth campers will learn land navigation skills using a compass throughout this session. Our Marine Counselors will teach campers to navigate in the field or woods. Drones will record aerial video for parents to view the campers of campers completing navigation challenges. (The course will be available to review in the coming weeks) 

Pioneer Fire Challenge - This challenge is designed to see who can make the queasiest fire and break the string. Allowing time for campers to learn what items in the wilderness burn quicker than other and also offering another fun but exciting challenge to camp.

Balloon Dart Shot Challenge: The Dart challenge is designed for an added activity; challenging each youth camper on there technical skills, shooting skills and agility. The course is placed in a wooded area marking 25 targets with multiple obstacles and different height placements. The fastest, and most accurate camper will continue to move forward throughout the challenge. 

Hunter Education Certification & Introduction to Firearms- Both courses are designed to have an overview and better understand of the sport.
